I see where there is a negative review for Dr Ayoub but I beg to differ with the assessment. Typically a psychologist is there for prescriptions and a small amount of chit chat-usually it is a psychologist or certified counselor who takes the brunt of issues from a client. I am not saying that a psychiatrist doesn't take the time to hear a client's issues-there are some that do-I can't argue with that. But personally, I have nothing but praise for Dr Ayoub. He and his staff have been there when I have needed them. With the help of my psychologist, Dr Vincent Newman and Dr Ayoub I have never felt better about myself and my life in general. I owe this to both of them for giving me the guidance I have needed when all others have failed. Not every psychiatrist and psychologist meshes well with an individual-to say that he is not a good psychiatrist is incorrect. Compatibility plays a huge role in good therapy. Please take a chance on Dr. Ayoub before dismissing him.

Dr. Ayoub is not a good psychiatrist. He doesn't offer much in the way of diagnostic evaluations, and when he does, he misses a lot. He is basically an open prescription pad, so if that's what you're looking for then great, but if you want actual consult, then you'd better go somewhere else! I would NEVER recommend him to friends. Infact, if I heard a friend was looking for a psychiatrist, I would specifically tell them NOT to go to Dr. Ayoub.
