Tried to charge 800 for a part after I stopped to check a warning light. I thought they were Firestone and the mechanic said, " We are all independently owned ", leading me to believe this was Firestone. 2hr ordeal and I drove 32 miles home, $161 poorer after the mechanic cleaned the part, which is actually what my mechanic had suggested I do a few weeks prior for $109...learned a valuable lesson!

Do Not Take Your Car To It!

Strongly discourage anyone from going to this mechanic - he is a thief. Did not state high hourly rate or do a diagnostic check and lied about parts to be replaced. Then charged me on a separate invoice for unnecessary repairs, demanding payment before continuing. Very bad review of this shop - it should be closed down.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

A few weeks ago there was an issue with my car so I impulsively pulled off of I-10 at Antoine and stopped at Auto “Pros” (yes, I used quotations sarcastically) because my regular mechanic was closed. BIG MISTAKE ON MY PART! I merely asked the owner if someone could take a look at the issue and I was expecting a head mechanic or someone, at some point, to come out and discuss a price and the specifics with me before any work was done so we could decide on how to proceed further (as you would expect from any legitimate establishment who knows anything about CUSTOMER SERVICE or the protocol of how a garage runs).

After about 20 minutes of waiting I became impatient and inquired with the owner on what exactly is happening with my car. (In my defense, I assumed my car was in line to be looked at). Turns out...they've already begun work and I'm already OVER $100 IN THE HOLE! I'm glad I asked when I did! If I had waited any longer I'd be a poor man now.

A little irritated I asked why work was begun since I had not authorized or approved anything and when EXACTLY were they planning on telling me this! After a few slippery remarks I soon realized that I had walked into a scam operation and this guy (the owner) is working under the “ask for forgiveness rather that permission” scheme. I mean, what am I do do? He's already begun work. If I were to come back with a cop it's just my word against his. It's a confidence trick, a shell game, bait and switch…call it what you like. With my engine parts dismantled what am I to do?...drive off without paying? He's got me by the....um, let's just say he's got me cornered. So I payed the sum just to get my car reassembled so I could be on my way. I knew that I would have social media to use to fight back with at some point. So here I am!

I stopped by my regular mechanic that Monday so they could take a look at the issue themselves. They assured me that the problem was nothing to be concerned about and, of course, I was not charged. I should have had faith in them from the beginning and never ventured into Auto “Pros.”

I wish that scam artists like this would just realize that if you run a legitimate shop and build relationships with customers, instead of scamming them, then that's really the trick to long term success and customers coming back to you for repeat business. It's sad that he feels he needs to take advantage and prey on people to build his business. In this day and age with social media and review forums word of mouth is everything. You can't outrun it! This guy is spreading bad CAR-ma!

Please beware of this place. There is a real Firestone just a couple of exits down at Bunker Hill (they do excellent work and ultimately fixed the issues caused by this shop).

I live nearby and took my car to Auto Pros to have two front tires replaced. Nothing else was wrong with the car. It is less than 2 years old. The mechanic there told me he would replace the two front tires. When I asked how much the tires were, he said he'd get me a good deal. I had to push him quite a bit to actually get a dollar value quote for the tires. We agreed on the price and I left the car there.

He called a couple of hours later and said that they no longer had the tires he quoted me for and said the only ones they had were a good bit more expensive. He said there was no alternative and I agreed to have them installed. He then told me the car would need an alignment or he wouldn't warranty the tires. I again agreed (although I new that the car wasn't pulling or having any alignment-related issues). Finally, when I went by that evening to pick up the car, the mechanic informed me that the car could not be properly aligned because the control arm is bent and will need replacing (a very expensive part). He said that unless I got this done, the car would severely pull to the left and be dangerous to operate. He said he could keep the car and change the part for me. I was very suspicious and opted not to have the control arm replaced. They charged me for the tires and alignment and I left. The car indeed pulled to the left very hard, WHICH IS SOMETHING IT HAD NEVER DONE BEFORE.

A short time later, I took the car to the real Firestone at Bunker Hill and I-10. They checked the car's alignment and told me that the alignment was seriously off. They re-aligned the car, and gave me a printout of what was wrong and what they fixed. I told them the story of the previous shop, and the mechanic at the real Firestone said that it looked like it could have been misaligned on purpose. The car now drives great. It does not pull and does not need an alignment.

I returned to Auto Pros/Antoine Firestone with the documentation and demanded a refund for the alignment and that they cover the cost of getting the car repaired at the real Firestone. The "manager" was very confrontational and tried a variety of tactics to get me out of the store. Finally when I would not relent, he told me that he would need to get a refund authorized by the owner and that it would be in a few days. I called and stopped by this shop every day for two weeks. The "manager" was always nowhere to be found. Finally I caught him there one night, and he again ran through the same line of trying to get me to say it was my fault in some sort of way. I did not relent. He finally agreed to only refund the money for their alignment service, but this would take time he said.

A week and a half later, another person from this company called me (after I wrote a review detailing my story), telling me that they would refund me. The finally agreed to refund me for their alignment and pay for half of the real Firestone alignment that fixed what I believe they broke. They took my credit card info down and texted me a picture of a receipt saying that a refund had been made to me. A few days later the funds hit my bank account and I thought all was good. I deleted some of the more scathing aspects of my original post at their request. One day later I discovered that THEY RE-CHARGED THE CARD FOR THE TOTAL AMMOUNT OF THE REFUND. This means that they gave me a refund, and then after a few days, charged the card again to get the money back.

I texted the person who issued the refund, and they told me that they had no idea what happened and that I should contact my credit card company. The money is once again gone form my account and bank records show it went to theirs.

Please please please save yourself some heartache and stay away from this place.

Stay away from this shop. They totally ripped me off on an Air conditioning repair. Installed a rebuilt compressor (without replacing the dryer or evaporator) and it only lasted 5 weeks. They also wouldn't honor their warranty (said the compressor wasn't bad) so I had to have it repaired elsewhere. That's when i found out about their so called repairs. They took 3 days the 1st time and 4 days to tell me my compressor wasn't bad----it was. Totally the worst auto repair experience of my life!

Definitely read the reviews and do not bring your car here. The owner, Ahmed will take advantage of anyone that walks through the door.

I recorded all conversations on my phone, so I will hand it over to the BBB . If you get scammed here, please do the same

If you need it done in a timely manner don't go.

I drive a 2004 subaru impreza WRX and I hit a pothole and got a flat. I drove here cause it was close and when I got there they were nice and helped. Since my car is AWD and my tires were a little worn its easier on the car to change all 4 tires. I was then told it would be about 30 minutes. I proceed to wait for an hour and a half before they decide they can't put the tire on my bent rim and they have to send it to someone to straighten and told me it should be done the next day and would call me in the morning to update me. So they slap on the spare and send me on my way. The next day I wait until around 1 then call them. They completely forgot about calling me and said it would be done the next day. I am a little ticked but not too bad at this point as I understand things take time. So I continue to drive on my spare, which is extremely bad for my car, and I can't just skip out on work. Today I waited around till around 1 again and decided to call them. They say they will check and call me back. Wait. Its now 2:30. Call them. They forgot to call me. Again. They then proceed to tell me it will be done tommorow. Apparently it takes at least 3 tommorows to get things done at this place. Would have been fine if they had told me it would be three days instead of letting me check my phone every 30 minutes to see if they called. Would also be better if every mechanic there didn't have mild alzheimers. Also too expensive.

Great Customer Service, work, and pricing! I was hesitant to bring my 07 Yukon here because of a few bad ratings but I figured why not walk in & talk to them first & feel the place out & talk with someone and then decide. So after going to a competitor and was quoted double the price, I came here. They were very inviting, friendly, Knowledgeable & quick. When it was said & done, i was charged less than the original quote :) Will definitely refer Auto Pros to others & will use them for any of my other vehicles if needed. Thanks guys for a very pleasant experience! 5+

STAY AWAY!!! MY WHEEL FLEW OFF WHILE DRIVING AND THEY ARE FIGHTING ME OVER LIABILITY. SOMEONE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED BY THERE IDIOT MECHANICS. Yesterday I stopped by for a basic oil change, balance and tire rotation, an over priced oil change mind you. Once they were done, I paid my bill and was on my way. Not even 1 mile away I made a right on Wirt rd and then BOOOM Grrrrrrrrinndddddd, my wheel flew off while I was driving my 2012 Tahoe. Some idiot of a mechanic forgot to tighten the lug nuts. Now they are being completely unwilling to do the right thing and not allowing me to take my car to Mac Haik saying that they immediately ordered a part to fix it and wont release the car. Very very very shady. I guarantee if you go there they will tell you 10 things that are "WRONG"; with your car. Now my car is out of commission and undriveable and they would not get me a rental car and gave me one of their beater cars to drive AND it had no gas in it whatsoever... Stay away from this place. I should have read the reviews here... DAMMMITTTTT

I only come here to get my oil changed, but they always get me in and out much quicker than I expect--with no appointment, I'm out in about 30-45 minutes. Customer service is always on point, and they've never tried to up sell me on necessary things. In fact, they have told me that there is absolutely nothing they could recommend--which is always a great thing to hear.

This place is a cheat and rip-off. Avoid at all cost! I had my tires change and they charged more for the price of tire. The wheel alignment cost also twice than Firestone autoshop and much costlier than dealership. The mechanic is not professional and they have unreliable equipment. After their wheel alignment, my car is not align! I drove it in the freeway and it swerves to the right. I have to go to Firestone for re-check. Dont believe this auto shop. This shop should be closed down! DONT GO HERE!!!!

This is a good place to go. Manager is very professional. Price is too compared to other shops in the area. My car had a oil leak from valve port cover which burnt out my starter. They fixed all at very low price and in one day. The 2 year warranty (which applies all over mainland USA) provided is best feature of their service.

Never go there. I went to these guys to have my belts replaced. they replaced them the first time and things seemed ok. I went to the dealership to have something small done later and they tell me that the belts that were just put in there 3 months ago are bad and need to be changed. so i go back to auto pros and tell them what the dealership said. well they look at it and change it because it was under warranty, but they charge me labor. that happened on a friday. tell me why the belt snapped on tuesday. i then took it back to the hyundai dealership and they told me it had been put on the wrong way. I ask auto pros to refund me the money just for the belt since they were still under warranty. they told me know. do ever go to this place. they will treat you like nothing.

Never take your car to this place if you want it back working. They charge me over $3,000 dollars. Got my car home, the next day it wouldn't stay on. I took it to the dealership found out they total messed up what they said they fixed. Broke a new timing belt that I payed them to replace. All I got was lies and promises. As to speak to the manager, all I would get is he's a busy man. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE!!!!!

Never in my life have I had a ...

Never in my life have I had a mechanic try to charge me for the damages they caused themselves. This place will. I initially took my car in for what I thought would be a simple repair. They charged me 285.00 to fix a problem I was having with my car. 3 day's later I had to take it back, they told me something else had broken and that it would cost over $500 dollars to repair now. When I started to question them, the manager became terribly rude and belittled me almost to point of it being very insulting.

I decided to take my car to another mechanic and they showed me where the original mechanic at Auto Pro's had broken something on the car trying to install the new part that had to be replaced and tried to cover it up with other wires and things. He also showed me that the part they installed was mounted incorrectly to begin with and it was the wrong part for make and model vehicle which could have been stranded on the highway.

The dealership only charged me $175.00 dollars to replace both the parts and advised me to never use Auto Pros again.

Great Service, Less Time I needed new rear brakes and I took my car to Auto Pros Texas. The staffs were so nice and friendly. They brought my car in and in less than two hours my brakes are done and take note, I didnt have an appointment. I could say that they are really good in auto repair especially when they did my brake repair in less than two hours. I was very impressed then. I would really recommend Auto Pros Texas to all my friends.
