I recently visited and brought our long hair cat in for grooming. He also had an appointment with the groomer about 5-6 weeks ago. After having him groomed satisfactorily for the last year or so....very satisfactorily...I'm sad to say that I am going to investigate other places to have him groomed.

The time before last I was informed that he hissed at one of the groomers. This cat barely hisses when he's stepped on so I was suspicious there might be another reason. I discovered the next day there was a bald spot and broken skin on his back where the groomer had cut too deep.

I decided to give the groomer one more try. After this most recent visit I picked him up assuming that everything was taken care of. The next day, I cut nearly 7 mats off his backside and the back of his rear legs.

The mats are a critical element of us bringing him in for grooming. If I have to follow behind and finish the job, the $75 charge is definitely not worth it.

I sent a letter to their office a week ago but have received no reply. If there is "another side to the story", I would be most interested to hear it. Otherwise, we'll find another vet clinic and groomer for our four kitties
