I have been a customer of American Home Shield for several years and have multiple policies through them. They've been great at taking my money. I have paid for items to be covered yet they always seem to find a way to loophole me if ever a request is placed. Although they know what is and isn't exactly covered they will not tell you the specifics until of course you have paid for the service fee and an individual has come out and collected even more money from you. I have gone weeks without so much as an update therefore I'm forced to call. That’s not all either, getting them on the phone is at the very least a 30 minute wait which seems to be the average. My last phone call I was on hold for an hour and when someone finally picked back up they hung up on me knowing very well there is nothing would be done. I equate those type of people to the keyboard-warriors, if only they were in an physical establishment I'd be more than pleased to pay them a visit to voice my concerns. Sadly this company was supposed to be the best out there. If this is true I'd hate to see how the worst operates. I will be dropping my policies as soon as I have the time to wait around on the phone for a few hours. If you don't believe me call and see for your self, just say "service request" and "customer representative" during the automated response guide.
