We arrived at the park after dark to no trailer on our site. ADV was closed until Monday. There is no after hours number & they don't check email/Facebook all weekend. I left msgs. I went looking for it & didn't find it in the dark. I had to stay elsewhere w/4 people & 2 dogs.

Next morning I drove & found the RV. They delivered it to the wrong site. Our site had full hookups. They delivered it to a tent site with no hookups. The slide was not out as there is no electric on that site & the RV battery was dead. They dropped the RV on a tent site & left. We couldn't use it in that spot if we wanted to since the slide could not be used.

It doesn't make sense that someone would want an RV w/slide on a site with no hookups, but driver didn't think about that. He could have called me or asked at the park office for our site number, but he just left it there.

We had no choice but to find someone with a truck and ask them to move the RV to the correct spot on the other side of the park. We had to jumpstart the RV battery so we could hook it up to his hitch. Then we had to set up the trailer on the correct site ourselves.

We filled out forms provided by ADV for a refund. I requested a refund for 1 night that we did not have use of the RV and half of the delivery fee. They claimed that they delivered it to the site I requested. This is not my first time having a trailer delivered there by ADV. I know the section with hook ups. Yet they claim I told them site 113.

They said according to the contract they can't refund any days of rental unless the RV is in a repair facility 24 hours. I never claimed the unit had a breakdown. That section does not apply.

ADV has no customer service and doesn't care about customers to make it right when they know they're wrong. They sent a certificate for 1 free night in the future. I will not be doing business with them again. They would rather lose a customer and risk a bad review than do the right thing.

RVs are all worn out office staff was not helpful,all they wanted was my money....... My rental was missing cabinet doors,carpet stained,scrathes everywhere,The guy was helping me and my wife was not experienced at all.......This place needs new staff and rentals we would never rent nor recommend any here.

We just experienced a awesome family vacation driving one American Dream Vacations RV. My husband I were a little imitated in driving the monstrous vehicles, but it was easy (turns though you need to watch your side and back). The pepole there were nice, friendly and even helpful after hour call (I didn't know which switch to flip). Thank you for everything!! Definetly worth kit.

Family of 8 left stranded! Horrible experience! We rented travel trailer #1013 from the Houston store in July and we had a major breakdown. The wheel bearings went out and we were left stranded for 16 hours, 11pm Friday night until 5pm Saturday. Kim closed the office and went home before she made sure we had a mechanic or were able to get home with the trailer. I was able to get help from Tony at the Boerne office in order to get Kim to participate in getting our problem solved. We ended up having to leave the trailer in Bastrop because it had to be towed back to Houston. I wrote Mr. Bonham a letter with the reimbursement request for the 1 day rental that we were unable to actually use the trailer, our hotel bills and my deposit. All I got back was a gift certificate for 1 day rental from Kim, the same person that abandoned us in the first place! We will NEVER do business with this company again or use that gift certificate and I suspect that Kim knows that!

Very dishonest company. We rented a large RV from them in January 2013 for a week and one day. They took over 4 hours to check us out and when we returned the RV it took another 4 plus hours to check out. They did the video comparison from the beginning and the turn in and there was nothing damaged. We signed out and left. They actually owed us a few dollars from our mileage overage. Three months we get a call stating there were $2500 in damage and tried to charger our card. We disputed it claiming such a long time passed and the RV had been rented several time after. They ended up suing us in small claims court. We got our insurance to handle the claim and since it would cost them more to fight it they just settled. Now nine months latter they charged my card for $350 for mileage overage and court cost! I have disputed this with my credit card company. It appears that this is their motive Add on charges, small claims court if you fight and they know they will win because of the time, effort and cost associated with fighting. Bad company and policies. Go some where else and make sure you have a reputable company you are dealing with.

My family and I just rented a motor home for our summer vacation. We drove to Disney World and stayed at Fort Wilderness. We had an issue with the generator and when we called the office the staff walked us through it within minutes. it was so nice to drive in comfort and also bring our dogs with us. We are already talking about a vacation in an RV next summer!

The RV rental process was easy and the staff was Helpful and patient. We will definitely use American dream vacations again. They made our vacation fantastic.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

I can just say HORRIBLE !!!! Since picking up the RV and waiting for 2 hours because they couldn't find the receipt for my deposit.. Then the RV wasn't ready had to wait for them to recharge the battery and then to fix the TV wich never worked during our trip. Really dirty and bad condition.. ( we got one of the bigger and more expensive rental) carpet naughty , refrigerator stinks.. Honestly really regret my RV adventure.. Wish I rented from the place where our friends that came with us rented.. Their RV was impeccable and really well maintenance.

I am the owner of this business. I personally assure anyone reading this that we would not delay your trip 2 hours because we could not find a receipt. Every transaction we do is in a web-based system and easily looked up. We also have the ability to call our merchant card company and find out if a transaction is made. We are delayed sometimes due to high volume or multiple rentals at one time but not by 2 hours. I am assuming this was a motor home due to the "more expensive and bigger rentals". On a motorhome you simply start the engine to charge all house batteries so there would not be a waiting time to "charge batteries". We carry the newest model motor homes in the city of Houston and we are careful to take good care of them including cleaning. This is not to say that we do not make mistakes sometimes, we are human, but this complaint is vague and does not seem to add up. I invite all customers to come by my lot and look at my units in person and make your own judgement. My units are always here being cared for by us unless they are out on rent. Please feel free to come by and visit with us, I think you will be pleased with your own analysis. Please do NOT rent from here. I called specifically for a certain coach and dates wanted. I was told no problem. I then drove 45 miles to learn that neither of the 43' coaches were available for the dates I had mentioned. The one I wanted wasn't even on the lot---How do you miss a 43 foot Motorhome?????? The coaches are dirty and smell bad. 80% of the coaches were wrecked in some form or fashion, the carpets were black, one was even missing the toilet. They used the old bait and switch, but they "just so happened" to have another coach that "just so happened" to be available for the dates I wanted, Hmmmm. I am a business owner and I don't care how busy you have been, you might have to work longer hours to get something back in shape to make it available to rent back out if you are in that business. They will NEVER see any of my money. I rented a 43' from Dallas and it will be delivered and is cheaper and nicer.

I am the owner of this business and I am not sure who the customer is below. That being said we have never, NEVER baited and switched a customer since we have opened our doors. If you reserve a unit with us we hold that particular unit for you at the time of the reservation. The only reason we would not provide the vehicle you reserved would be if that unit is wrecked or in repair. Neither of these would be the case for the time frame provided. Our units sometimes do have damage but not even 20% of our fleet. We repair our units regularly and carry the newest and nicest units in the Houston area and are very proud of that A+ reputation. We are the largest RV rental location in Houston and we have gotten there by carrying nice units, being honest and upfront with our customers, and satisfying our customers along the way.
