As usual I have nothing but praise for Air Tech's service call this week. The technician was on time, quick to diagnose the issue and performed the repair properly the first time. Cheap? No just reasonably price. Done properly and on time. Highly recommend them.

Air Tech replaced my air handler in 2010 for $3,200. Fast forward to November 2016, my system was working fine, both A/C and heat. I went out of town over Thanksgiving and turned my system on Off. I did not realize this was bad. When I returned from my trip, my system would not work. I called Air Tech to inspect...the technician tells me the heat strip is bad (my heat worked 1 week prior) and the coils in my air handler are leaking. So, they tell me I need a new air handler. Now, if my turning off my system for 5 days caused this damage, then shame on me. But, I find very hard to believe I could break a $3,200 air handler this easily. So now, just 6 years later, they want to replace the air handler, but this time the cost is $4,500, and they wish to install the same manufacturer's equipment...American Standard. Call me crazy, but why in the world would I want to pay $4,500 6 years later to have the same manufacturer's equipment installed in my house given that the original equipment failed after just 6 years?? I have opted to get a 2nd opinion about the issues with my system, and if I truly do need to replace my air handler, I sure the heck will not install equipment from American Standard, which seems to be the only equipment Air Tech uses!

The tech was very professional and very nice. He also made a suggestion to cut down on energy consumption. But did not push me into anything right then. The tech made me feel comfortable when he was in my house.

Air Tech was one of several HVAC service providers that I solicited quotes firm to replace my aging system. They provided a very competitive quote and were by far the most helpful of all the companies I surveyed and responded to any questions or concerns I had. They did a great job installing both complete units and I am quite pleased wit the new system.
