Today I want to talk about a leader and my hero, Mr. Jim Thompson. In 2005, I was seeking help from the NAACP because i had some legal issues.. I was about to give up and I decided to try one more time to call the NAACP and the lady connected me to Jim Thompson and the african american legal defense group... Immediately Mr Thompson made me feel like part of his family. He gave mecinformation that i still usecin my everyday life but most important, he taught me how to fight legally. He was there for me and my family and when things got rough, he helped to smooth the rough edges where you can continue to fight. He became the father i never had becausecmy father passed away when i was 3 yrs old. I never had a father figure that cared about me as a person like Mr. thompson did... I am in tears right now just thinking about how blessed i am to have such a wonderful caring attorney... God truly blessed me that day placed Mr. thompson in my life.. God bless u
