I felt compelled to write this review after what occurred at the Brian Dawkins dinner last night. It all started with my mom going to the restaurant last week to inquire about tickets to the event. No one she spoke to had a definitive answer. The only person that knew for sure was the manager. When my mom asked to speak to him, she was told he was too "busy". So she sat and waited on the bench. Finally a woman came over and talked to her and she was able to get tickets. We arrived around 6:30, and were greeted at the door and shown to our seats. We were sat at table 10. Prior to the introduction of Brian, the general manager, Roy, made an announcement over the microphone to a room of over 125 people, that after the dinner and Q&A session, every guest there had the option of either getting an 8x10 photograph autographed, or 1 personal item per person. This was a dream come true to me. I had brought my 2 jerseys, 1 Eagles, 1 Clemson. The dinner started, table by table going up to the buffet line, and the servers walking around with the various meats. For some reason unbeknownst to me, our table was skipped multiple times with the meats. Servers would literally just walk right by the table. I understand it was very busy and hectic, but there was an ample number of servers working, and the diner lasted for an hour. For our table to be continuously skipped over for that long of a time is a insult. The Q&A session I have to say was incredible. Brian didn't appear to rush answers or dance around questions. And Roy did do a good job walking around to all the tables and getting the crowd involved. After that was done I went out to my car to get the jerseys. While I was walking back in, Brian was walking out. I was dumbfounded. My mom came over to me, as the crowd was following Brian out the door. My mom spoke to Roy and said, what about the autographs? His response was, "I don't know, try to catch him in the parking lot I guess." Are you kidding me!? What kind of response is that. After letting that set in for a minute, we got in line to receive the 8x10 pictures that Roy was handing out. As we approached him, he announced that he had none left! How could you have none left? You knew how many tickets you had sold for the event, and how many people were actually there in the room. Overall this was one of the worst experiences I have ever been to. On a brighter note, I found that Brian is signing autographs today in Havertown, to the tune of $69 per item. So now I will have paid $140 last night for a dinner that consisted of rice and salads from the buffet, and an additional $140 today for autographs that I was told I would get yesterday.
