The Hopkins Police Department works to provide law enforcement services and ensure the safety and security of citizens. It is comprised of more than 25 full-time sworn officers and support staff. The department also employs several reserve officers who assist the police officers in patrol, crime prevention and community events, animal control and parking enforcement. The Hopkins Police Department provides information regarding identity theft and crime prevention. It conducts National Night Out, school patrol safety and neighborhood watch programs. The department offers fire and burglar alarm registration services. The Hopkins Police Department hosts the crime free multihousing program that teaches crime prevention techniques to rental property owners and managers. It is located in Hopkins, Minn.
