My six week old son was accidentally dropped by a friend since his doctor was to "busy" to see him (I've been a patient for over ten years) even though he seemed fine I needed peace of mind. Anyway was still waiting on his insurance card so I paid up front. I don't mind paying for the peace of mind but to sit for ten minutes run no tests at all and send me away with an ice pack and tell me to follow up with my doctor on Wednesday for 250.00 dollars !! Come on!! Our medical system has serious issues!! I would have been fine paying the 150.00 when I asked why 250 with no tests no nothing just a look over they told me was nature of the visit? What does that mean? Cause I wanted to make sure my son was ok I get ripped off? Feel bad cause practices like these would make people hesitate to bring baby to be checked when it could be serious!! Ten minutes told me feed him if no vomit put Ice pack and follow up at doctor on Wednesday 250.00 dollars come on!!
