Hoover High School offers a variety of educational and extracurricular programs and activities to students. It offers courses in business and technology, driver s education, English, health and physical education, foreign languages, math, performing arts, science, social studies, visual arts and technology. Its law academy is a selective program of four electives for students in grades nine through 12 who have an interest in law, philosophy and the historical development of American justice. The school s finance academy is a small learning community within the larger high school. It is a curriculum that combines a career focus with meeting college entrance requirements. The school organizes various special events, such as mix-it-up day, Halloween, mole day, haiku show and homecoming, and various pep rallies, such as Vestavia, minor and John Curtis pep rallies. The high school is located in Hoover, Ala.
