my mother's best friend made the mistake of moving here. i can't blame her as this was a decent place under previous management, but it's far more like a jail now than anything else under new management. today my mother had to walk in the heat to my car as i was not allowed on the property to pick her up as visitation pickups require pre approval with security as per management policy. (curiously, no pre approval was required upon dropping her off a few hours before. in fact, in a year of coming here several times a month, this was the first time anyone mentioned any such policy). as this sounded so insane, i contacted the person claiming to be the highest ranking person on duty, who reiterated that this was indeed policy and the gate person was right to deny my entry to travel the 150 or so yards to the front lobby and make my 80 year old mother walk off the property in the heat. so, i ask you, what kind of person would pay 4 grand a month to put themselves in jail? my advice is to keep your loved ones far away from this place!
