Hired M&R for a job and on the first day one of his workers admitted to being an illegal worker. Also, Dan assured me that the job would be done within a certain time frame because I was moving on to other repairs in the house and he did not complete his work on time which led me to reschedule my next project. After he finished the work I did further research into him and found that he had a criminal record. I would not recommend him to any of my friends in the neighborhood unless of course my nosy nuisance of a neighbor asked for a referral.

He is a crook and a dirt bag.. We hired him for a job and it took 3 months to complete it!!! when he said it would only take a week to complete!!!! He only showed up once on the job site and charged us more money because his labor was too expensive!!! He told us he had "money" issues and but was driving a brand new truck and owns a house western springs!! AVOID THIS CONTRACTOR!!!!!! also do a backround check on him!!! he was a local drug dealer and has been arrested on several counts!!!!! SCAM ARTIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just happened across this information in dexknows about M & R Tile and Remodeling, Inc. and I think it's truly unfair. Just because a couple of people have a negative opinion it does not reflect the complete picture of a company's ability to service a customer. Let me just say that we have used the services of M & R Tile and Remodeling, Inc. several times as well as other family members and even a couple of our neighbors. We have NEVER had such an experience. Everything ran on a schedule (as long as I made up my mind on the selections). Their men have always been knowledgeable and courteous to our needs. We will continue to use M & R Tile and Remodeling, Inc. and suggest you call, make an appointment to judge for yourself.

We had a similar experience, although not as bad. However, our project was a simple shower remodel so I guess one could argue that M&R could only mess that up so much. Dan is impossible to get ahold of and only calls you when it's convenient for him. I wish I could talk to him when it was convenient for me!?!?Find another contractor - there are many many many to choose from and M&R is not the best one!

When we hired Dan Madden (M&R Tile), we thought we were hiring a contractor. We had to monitor 100% of the work and change about 50% because he did not plan appropriately. Contractor's job right?!?Furthermore, we were not told of several problems until it was too late. We were not consulted on placement of bathroom finishes- it's OUR bathroom. Workers scratched brand new shower heads as they were installing - looks terrible! Floor too high. Leaking shower door...Finally, Dan showed up to sell his services before we started but we only saw him once again. It was a month long project that we were told would take 2 weeks max! Dan Madden refuses to give you his cell phone number - you must call his assistant and he will get back to you at HIS earliest convenience (who hired whom?)Be prepared to take more vacation days from work and act like a contractor when you hire Dan Madden and M&R Tile. No compensation/remediation from M&R Tile. In fact, not even a, "I'm sorry." Avoid!
