Dr. Healy (Scarpaci) is one of the best doctors I have ever encountered. She really takes the time with both of our children. She is very knowledgeable. I wish she was my doctor! WE have also seen DR. Oliveri and Dr. Change who are very kind and know what they are doing.

I concur with the reviews. Would also add one astounding fact. They DON'T have an email address!!!! What year is it? 1995. If one needs something signed it has to be faxed and sometimes that doesn't even work. Recently, my wife had to drive school forms to the office to get them signed. Customer service is nonexistent. The health and well being of our children is most important--and that's the only reason this place is in business--the docs are great. Let's hope one of said doctors reads these reviews and cleans house or makes some positive changes.

I 100% agree with these reviews. The doctors are great, but the office staff are not only incompetent, but also very RUDE. I was told to wait right after the phone got picked up more than three times! How busy could they be? Moreover, they thought they have the right to create hurdles for patients, the list could go on and on--they are just awful! From the review, this problem has existed for a long time. Please do something about it, Doctors!

The doctors are great, especially Dr. Cheng, who is super smart. They need to upgrade to a web portal system so messages to and from the office can be handled electronically. It can be very frustrating playing phone tag for working parents who can't just pick up the phone and discuss their child's illness anytime the office gets around to returning a call. Some of this is HIPPA law that prevents them from leaving specific questions in the voice mail, but it a problem easily solved with web portals. That said, when I told them what time exactly I would be able to answer the call, they did call back at that time. (And to all expectant parents, I don't think any popular ped doc's office in Delaware does those "visit the doc" appts. Ask your friends with kids for recommendations, then call the office to see if they are taking new patients before delivery.) Cheers!

I 100% agree with these reviews. They were so rude on the phone. Their website says that they do prenatal interviews. When I called they were extremely rude and unprofessional and told me that either I want my baby to go to their practice or I don't. We ended up at Nemours Pediatrics and they are absolutely fantastic! I would never recommend First State to anyone.

I ABSOLUTELY agree with the review below. I called this practice to set up a prenatal appointment with one of the doctors that had been recommended to us. They told me that they're too busy to do that and I should call after the baby is born. When I explained that I wasn't comfortable committing to the practice without interviewing the doctor, the receptionist started raising her voice at me and said that they don't really care and hang up on me. Unbelievable! And these people deal with little babies and new mommies on a daily basis. Absolutely ridiculous!

The office staff is very incompetent & rude.I was hung up on after being yelled at. The doctors at the hockessin location are wonderful with their guidance & care. But it seems that the office staff is very unprofessional & untrained. They have no care for families in need which is so contradictory to the wonderful doctors at this practice. The office administrator or the manager needs to train them to make them more efficient at their jobs. I would not recommend this practice as there are lot of others out there with phenomenal service.
