Never had any issues with this company. Great price for weekly trash, recycling, and yard waste removal. Office staff has always been great as well.

They are the main service provider for our neighborhood - The HeritageGrendon Civic Association and we couldn't be happier!

This is an up-date to the review dated 02/19/2015 - by anonymous. Although this up-date is several months after the original review, it does reflect that the company DID in a positive manner, work to rectify the situation with the residents of this community. Evergreen contacted each of their customers affected by this missed pick-up as a result of a significant snow storm and provided a credit to each resident. They resumed regular pick-up on the next scheduled pick-up date.

Dear Heritage Grendon Civic Association members with Evergreen service. I have received numerous e-mails and phone calls from residents today who wanted to know if I was aware of what was going on with Evergreen trash haulers in Heritage Park And Grendon Farms. It is apparent that the trash company was not picking up trash this week in our neighborhood as was agreed upon by those who pay for this service. Trash was placed out Monday night as instructed - however, due to the storm on Monday night into Tuesday morning, trash remained at the curb. As of Thursday morning, the cans had not been emptied nor was any notification made to the Evergreen customers regarding what was being done. Although schools were closed Tuesday, it was not declared a state emergency - the state did not shut down. Usually, the industry standard is to move the customers who have been missed to a Saturday - rather than move every customer day from one day to the next where everyone would be inconvenienced.

We have been with Evergreen for 3 years and think there service is WONDERFUL! We like that it is a local business, the customer service is great - they call with reminders of holiday schedules or snow day issues, they are always courteous and helpful. I recommended them to others in our development and ended up that so many neighbors switched that Evergreen gave our entire develpt a price break ... without asking we all saw it in the next bill! Proactive service is smart business! :-) Keep it up Evergreen!

I used this provider for 3 years. Sometimes I had to call them because they missed my trash pick-up (I didn't put it out every week because I lived alone and didn't have much). When I was moving they were informed in advance - said to pay the bill in full and would credit me after I moved. Been fighting them for 6 months now to get a refund and their policy is 'we don't give refunds'. Be warned!

Unlike the previous reviewer, I have had very positive experiences with this company. I have received an answer every time I called, or a fast call back if I had to leave a message on off-hours. They have been courteous and helpful and quickly resolved any issues I had. Their price is close to the other local companies, but a few dollars less at least. And their yard waste price is better than most. I am happy with their service and feel comfortable calling them if I have questions or issues. They have been great!

The waste industry in Delaware has gotten worse and seemingly more corrupt over the years. My experience with Evergreen has been very bad overall and they're not much cheaper than anyone else. If you don't have a lot of time and energy to spend overseeing your trash service, I strongly suggest you find another company. To begin, there is virtually no customer service as they rarely answer the phone directly. Unfortunately I've had to call several times to straighten out mistakes such as charging me for additional services not requested, and putting me on an automatic payment when I didn't sign up for it, resulting in being charged twice. I didn't get trash recepticals for 3 weeks after my service started. They dropped off a small one in the interim but now three weeks after I received the larger ones, the extra receptical still hasn't been picked up. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else.
