I received a questionnaire from Dr. Shetty's office one week before my exam. I really appreciated this because it allowed me time to think, recall, and answer the questions carefully. The first thing I noticed when I walked into the office for the first appointment is that the staff members where friendly and efficient. It was not long before I was escorted to an examining room. When Dr. Shetty came into the room, he greeted me with good eye contact, a smile and an extended hand for a hand shake. He did not appear to be at all in a hurry and was patient with me as I answered his questions about my pain levels and mobility issues. He asked if I had seen my MIR images. I had not, so he pulled them up on his laptop and went over the images, showing me what was causing my pain. We decided together that I would have a steroid injection between the first two discs in my back that showed budging, the first of two sights. The procedure went well. I received verbal instructions on what to do after the injection and was given a print out of instructions on what to do and not to do over the next two days. I was able to resume normal activities after my prescribed two days of light activities. At my second visit we discussed the one area where I still had some discomfort. He assessed that an injection into the second place was in order. I trust Dr. Shetty because he is thorough in his explanations and seems to have my best interest at heart. I highly recommend Dr. Shetty to anyone with pain issues.
