I saw this doctor complaining of severe upper abdominal pain centered around a gastric band and port areas I had for weight loss. I explained the symptoms to the doctor and also told her that I had even had to go to the ER a few days earlier it was so bad I had the gastric band for three years when I started having problems. The doctor had difficulty keeping and maintaining eye contact and seemed "spacey", as if she were disinterested. I was somewhat emotional due to the severity of the pain and had shed some tears. She said that she thought a large part of my pain was due to depression! She did not order one single test at all. Just sent me on way. Two days later I was in Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN where the bariatric surgeon practices who put the band in. When I checked into the ER I had a bad EKG, dehydration, the gastric band was eroded and had made a large hole in my stomach. My entire abdoman was infected. I had to have emergency surgery to remove the band and lay in the hospital for 12 days with a pump straight into my stomach pumping into a bucket on the floor! I nearly died and this doctor said she believed it was depression and did NO tests!!! Aside from the no-diagnosis or tests, she was just cold and uncaring. Do NOT go to her!

I totally disagree with the last review. I sing Dr. Cohn's praises to all my friends. He has helped me on several occasions. He has an EXCELLENT bedside manner and DEFINITELY knows what he's talking about.

I was very disapointed in this office and Dr Ross A. Cohn! First visit he cut it short less than 10 min because he had a surgery he had to go do. Ok I let that slide everyone has emergencies! Second visit was canceled the day before at 3:30pm because Dr Cohn wanted to watch or assist in a surgery so he canceled all his apt for the next afternoon. Then when I did get into his office to see him again he was one that spent less than 10 min, acts like he is GOD and knows all yet gives no answers. He has no so called manners other than a shake of the hand when he walks into your room. I find him to be a child and needs to go back to school for more education! I find he will have no bed side maner if you are ill, he also dosn't listen to your problems when you try to talk. I would not ever go to his office again!! I have sense found a doctor that is not wet behind the ears and knows how to treat a patient! But I leave it up to others to make up their minds on him , I just know I will never go to him again!!!
