We arrived at a good "off" time on New Years Day, about 4:30. We were seated immediately and the waiter asked for our drink order right away and we ordered a Bloomin onion. We waited and waited. Went through a round of soft drinks and no onion showed up and neither did the bread. They finally brought the onion out with the salads about 20 minutes after we ordered and the place was not crowded at all. Many of my party sat with empty glasses. The waiter must've been new, or in the wrong occupation for sure. I ordered the Outback Special Sirloin medium rare. It came in about a 3" round mound that should've been butterflied and was barely cooked because of it. They took it back and when I received it again, it was cooked perfectly. One thing I've noticed about most steak houses is that they are just not seasoned well enough for my tastes, and this was the case for mine (and my husband's) steak. All 6 dinners came out at different times. My husband's was a strip ($24.99) and he said it was the worst steak he had actually had and wasn't happy at all. When the waiter brought his, he had not brought the right potato and when he told the waiter it was wrong the waiter took the plate away. I thought this was probably due to lack of experience. I watched as the waiter placed the plate in a tray by the kitchen doors next to pitchers of water and scoot it by the wall. I called out to him to bring it back and suggested he leave the steak here and bring him a new potato. He insisted on taking the potato and he ended up using a bread plate only instead of placing the potato on it and leaving the steak on the large plate, he did the opposite. After what seemed a very long time, he was brought out a new potato on a small plate. So the strip which was fairly large was on a dinky little plate, thus making it hard to cut, especially since the meat seemed to me to just be a pretty bad cut of meat. There was an unusually large vein of very tough fat/gristle along the inside quarter. He wasn't able to even cut through this very well and it made about half the steak un-eatable. Drinks sat empty and we had to ask the manager for bread. All in all it was a 2 hour experience that really should have been 1 hour. The manager ended up comping my husband's steak, which they should've. The unexperienced waiter I would say in this case made our dining experience the worst though. I would have to recommend not eating at this Outback.

Service was great but steaks were not cooked as ordered They were tough and had a slight chemical taste from the wood fired grill. Ordered a filet, received a sirloin they claimed was a filet. Have visited twice, but not again.
