Went in with preliminary estimates on some jewelry and silver I was looking to sell (Tiffany sterling and a couple more esoteric pieces). Based on the WRITTEN quotes I received prior to stopping in at William H Ltd, I had an idea of what the pieces were worth. I received LESS THAN HALF! This is nothing more than an over rated pawn shop. I am BEYOND DISAPPOINTED. If I didn't need to raise the cash fast, and wasn't relying on public transportation, I would NEVER have sold my pieces here. Hindsight is always 20/20, but someone needs to expose this "jewelry store" for what it is.... a pawn shop that specializes in ripping people off.

Passed by this store, met Bill, and some family, I was looking to buy silver coins or bars, as I am investing in some silver as a back up investment, I was buying from a large firm that only sell in lots of 20 oz's or more, but that can be to expensive all at one time, my goal was to buy 3-4 oz''s a week, Bill was more than happy to meet my needs and if he had to he would get an outside source to help me meet my demand, he will go out of his way for you, and is a fair business man, he did not up charge for a huge commission on each piece I bought, which the other place I dealt with I felt I had to pay much over the market value of silver at the time, I would recommend this jewelry shop/ antique shop to every one who wants a fair deal!! They provide the lowest prices when I'm buying and offer extremely fair values when I'm selling better than any of the TV and online offers I've seen. I tried a few local coin shops to compare recently and William H blows them away.M.

Over the last couple of years I've had the opportunity to buy and sell silver, gold and assorted collectables from Bill at William H. Limited in Highwood. His knowledge and fair pricing on both the buy and sell beats all the others stores by a significant margin. He's the real deal.
