Alway ready to help

Compass Colorado has always been wonderful to work with. They have gone above and beyond to schedule appointments for my daughter when it's covenient for us. Brittany and Tracey have always been willing to step up to the plate when we've had issues with our mail order meds as well. I feel like it's personal at their office.

I wish there was an option for 0 stars...that's the amount Compass Behavioral Health deserves.

On Saturday, 06/02/2012 I asked my Doctor's office for help to find a psychiatrist. This was because my emotional and mental stability was getting worse and worse and I felt that I needed professional help. My Dr's office was nice enough to write and send a referral letter to Compass Behavioral Health on my behalf. That was last Monday (06/04/2012).On Tuesday (06/05/2012) I called their 800 number in Florida which is the only way you can set up an appointment in Colorado. Around 4:00 PM I left a voice message explaining I would like to set up an appointment. When I hadn't heard from anyone by the next afternoon (06/06/2012) I left a second message trying to convey a sense of urgency about the appointment.Today is almost a week later (06/11/2012) and they still have not contacted me in any way. Since they did absolutely nothing for me I believe they deserve 0 stars for their service. In my opinion, a person's mental well being is not something that should be taken lightly. If/when a person is in a position that they need help and they make the effort to try and obtain that help, they should be taken seriously. By not returning my calls or making any effort to acknowledge that my well being was at all important to them, Compass Behavioral Health made a bad situation even worse.By ignoring the needs of potential customers, including those that were referred by their Doctor's office, Compass Behavioral Health completely ignores any moral, ethical and possibly legal responsibility that, through the services they offer, they have assumed.I am also contacting my Doctor's office in hope that they no longer recommend Compass Behavioral Health. In the meantime I hope that anyone reading this review will not put themselves in a position of being severely disappointed with Compass Behavioral Health and will instead find another Doctor. One thing interesting about these reviews is that they are not consistent at all. After I post this review there will be a total of 21 reviews. Of those 14 will be for 1 star, 1 will be for 2 and 6 will be for 5. The 14 for 1 star describe a lot of the same problems, while the 6 for 5 stars are really short and in my opinion sound too good to be true. I question the authenticity of the 5 star reviews...but that is only my personal opinion.

Mis-diagnosed over medicated child

Rude office staff, high evaluation rates, psychologist that cannot relate to adults, cancelled or mixed up 40 minute sessions (to the 10th of a second, messed up billing, and an over medicated 16 year old. Take the time and travel to Children's. It may mean the real difference between a scam and legit mental health treatment.

You Saved My Son's Life

They really saved my son's life. I am forever grateful. THANK YOU!!!

Avoid at all costs!

This practice is unethical. We stopped short of pursuing legal action after their headquarters refunded our money. They falsely billed insurance and we let the insurance provider deal with that. They treated us and our dauther poorly and unprofessionally. Perhaps some of the physicians here are legit, but they should explore the practice for which they work. If you have other choices, take them!

Worst bedside manner

They will ask for money as soon as you enter the door for your appointment. If it's your first visit and you're meeting a doctor there for the first time, you may find out that he has awful bedside manner, is plain rude, and contradicts himself, of course you won't want that individual as your doctor. You wouldn't want to deal with him again, obviously. You want a doctor you actually like and trust, right? But oh wait, your money is taken at the door. Too bad so sad for you. They take it before and not after you meet one particular doctor on their staff, for a reason. (name starts with an M). He projects anger from past doctor-shoppers who duped him, to get drugs, toward even new consultations. He doesn't even trust other/new patients, won't give them the benefit of the doubt...at the beginning of a new doctor-patient relationship. His nurse practioner's interpersonal skills are light years beyond the doctor'. Avoid any place that asks for money before you meet their jaded bitter guy

Waste of Time, Go Elsewhere

Don't waste your time. I called over two weeks ago (the local number) to make an appointment for my son, who has ADD and has been having suicidal thoughts and decided to start cuttting himself. I was dissapointed they couldn't see him sooner under the circumstances, but made the appointment anyway. I showed up at my scheduled time to be told they did not have any record of my call or an appointment. I had been using this appointment to help keep my son's spirits up because we were close to getting him help and I had taken the morning off from work. All for nothing and now I am back to square one. This place is a joke. If you truly value your child or mental health, go somewhere professional.

Democrats should avoid this place

You don't like something on the ballot, put out an issue ad. Since you have publicly demonstrated that you are going to target individual Democratic candidates, using your services would be detrimental to their mental health. It is one thing to have an opinion, it is another to actively campaign. I could not trust you or your judgment.

What a Relief!

Compass got me into an appointment with in a week. The Dr didn't overmedicate me like others have done. Now I'm back at work and going on with my life.

Thank you!

Thank you for the incredible service and accurate diagnosis! My son is already doing better! I recommend Compass of Colorado wholeheartedly.

What a Joke!!

Compass Colorado is a joke. Count on rude office staff, fired Dr's, clinical staff that walk out in mass and set up busineess elsewhere, no notice when your therapist is changed several times, and you or your family members are disrespected. This is not mental health, it's a money mill. Watch reruns of Oprah, Dr. Drew, or take a walk, and bank your money rather than give it to these jokers.

Compass Colorado is terrible!

My therapist was "fired", she saved my life in the year or more I met with her. Com[ass would not give any reason why she was suddenly gone and expected me to just adjust to someone else. I found my therapist on Google with not help from Compass. They still wanted my money even when a new therapist was forced on me. that I did not want, no hard feelings to her, she tried, but if I wanted to start over with someone else I would have done it on my own. Don't go to Compass they don't care about you or your therapy, they care about the money.

Great doctors, very poor administration

Good doctors, but Compass Colorado is a Florida company, all billing and appointments are handled through Florida. No one answer the phone, they overcharge negotiated rates, demand over payment and then fail to refund. If you reschedule an appointment, it is done through the Florida office, then not rescheduled. To top it off they like to bill you for the appointment you rescheduled because they screwed up. TERRIBLE, avoid dealing with these folks. Fortunately my doctor was tired of the poor administration and LEFT. Save yourself the trouble. I have spent 8 months so far trying to get reimbursed for over charges and still have not got the courtesy of a return phone call. The local office says I have to call Florida, and Florida does not answer or return calls. I have file complaints with my insurance and will be filing with DORA next. Save yourself the trouble.

Best Mental Mental Health Practice in town!

I love the doctors and the service at Compass Colorado-I have been taking my son for over a year and feel relieved to have found doctors and a practice that actually care.

02/24/2011

Thank you!

Great doctors, phenomenal service. Grateful to have found Compass Health.

Ridiculous excuse for a medical center.

I've been going to Compass for two years now, and the service keeps getting worse. First, they're impossible to contact. When you call your only option is to listen to a recording and leave a message, which they will probably never reply to. The ladies at the front desk are ALWAYS horrible to customers. Every time I go I have to wait over an hour for a ten minute appointment (which they usually ask to reschedule the day before). The only two doctors that were good there have left, leaving someone rude and a bit incompetent. They cancelled my appointment and refuse to fill my meds until they can see me again in a month. The receptionists, when phone calls do go through, don't give urgent messages to the doctors. Plus, after the copay, I'm always billed extra for no apparent reason.A visit to Compass is always a miserable one. I suggest people look for a better doctors that actually care about their patients. It's obvious Compass just doesn't have the time for everyone depending on them

This place sucks!

I have had nothing but trouble with this business for over a year now. Horrible customer service. The receptionists are down right rude. I waited for over an hour for my appointments numerous times! Then to make matters worse two different "professionals" stopped using this office. Then today they cancelled on me at the last minute. Terrible, terrible, terrible service!

hello?

Yeah, where the hell are you so called important folks? Some things are real basic and are done in 1st and 2d world countries far, far better than you. I tried calling from another continent, got your 15 choice phone option, finally selected operator and got the recording which means, uh, forget it. Life is too short, folks. The good old USA - and whatever wonderful system of health care you claim to have - is falling apart, completely, and wonder why? Get ready for the Big Collapse, Compass Colorado will lead the way - guaranteed. Pay your dues and get out of the way. Hope you can speak Mandarin, Hindi or Spanish.
