This man Charlie,is a rip-off!! he claims he installed over 50,000 of these unit! He left out the "Raybender", which Solatube claims in their literature is the cutting edge technology that brings in the most light! I called Charlie (from Hershey electric) & he said he left it out cause it "hinders" the amount of light coming into the house. I also asked why he left 1 of the joints untapped and he said he taped it from the inside. This is ridiculous, who would tape a large tube from the inside when taping the outside is soo much easier. I then called the manufacturer (SolaTube Co) and the tech said there is supposed to be a "special seal" on that particular joint! The joint on my solatube is not sealed. I asked Charlie to come & check out he solatube & he said, no, I'd have to charge you! THE UNIT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY!!! Then I told him I would call the manufacturer, he said, I'll come out when I'm in your area! What a rip-off!!
