Owner Jason Broyles came to my house and misdiagnosed a cracked heat exchanger on my furnace and replaced the electronics instead for $2,610, paid by my insurance. There was actually 20 parts per million coming from it, and I found from researching this that exposure to small parts per million like this over an extended period of time can cause health issues including heart problems, brain damage, lung damage, vision problems, sleep disturbances and memory impairment, or possibly death.
I asked Jason to just put in a new furnace. He quoted a 125,000 BTU furnace but installed a 100,000 BTU unit, saving himself about $750, and instead of $3,380 he quoted, he charged me $3,655. So he pocketed about $1,000 by putting in a 100,000 BTU unit.
He had said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my original furnace when there was actually a very severe problem with it. He endangered my family and pets lives with either stupidity or greed. I recommend no one doing business with him, ever.

Ive dealt with the owner of this company a long time. He did work for me while at another company as well as after starting up Diversified Heating and Cooling. In January 2014 I called Jason Broyles. I had a burning smell from my furnace and my insurance paid for him to fix it. Jason said the motor and electronics were bad, and my insurance paid $2160 for this to be replaced. I took the motor and capacitor to have tested. It tested perfectly and I was told that more than likely all the electronics were good that powered and controlled the motor. Jason had ripped off my insurance company for $2,610. The burning smell never went away. So I call Jason Broyles back three more times over a few weeks and he said he could not smell anything. The third visit, I made him do a carbon monoxide test. The carbon monoxide reading was twenty parts per million. Jason said this was Ok!?! Exposure to small parts per million over time can cause health issues including heart problems, brain damage, lung damage, vision problems, sleep disturbances and memory impairment, or possibly death. He knew the heat exchanger was cracked all along and was trying to milk me and my insurance for all he could. He charged $338 for these three visits and gave invoices each time for Diversified Heating and Cooling. He said he was starting his own business, but was working for another company still. Im guessing to take the customers with him. Finally, I asked Jason in March 2014 to just put in a new furnace. He quoted a 125,000 BTU furnace but installed a 100,000 BTU unit. By putting in the smaller unit, he saved about $750, and instead of $3,380 he quoted, he charged me $3,655. So in all, he pocketed about $1,000 by putting in a smaller unit.WHAT WAS REALLY WRONG WITH MY FURNACE? Jasons right hand man came over to fix a leak on the exhaust flue and he was looking at my old furnace outside. He pointed out several cracked heat exchanger rivets on it, and said that's where the carbon monoxide was coming from. I found out that this furnace, a Goodman, was renowned for having cracked heat exchanger rivets, and that any competent hvac technician should have known this.In May of 2014, I asked Jason if he could put in a new evap coil unit to replace the old one. After doing this, some problems arose. I had nothing but problems with Jason from the beginning and then someone told me I should be dealing with the original owner of the company. So I called Phillip Gray.Phillip came over to see what was wrong with the evap coil install and found several problems, worst of which was the drain pipe from the evap coil drain pan was in the wrong drain outlet and overflowing water into the insulation in the bottom of the evap coil box. He also found behind the service door to the evap coil, there was a deflector plate installed wrong, allowing water to get into the insulation in the bottom of the evap coil box. The furnace and the evap coil box had not been leveled, which would cause the same problem. Phillip replaced this evap coil box.In August 2014, one of the service managers there said he was given invoices for the last year of furnace installs and sent out to recheck the work done. This was because of two employees, Bryan and Zack, that had done most all of their installs. I found out a few weeks later that all three of these guys quit or were fired, and also Jason Broyles was booted out of the company.I dealt with Jason for several months. There was bad work done that he has argued and argued with me about. He said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my original furnace when there was actually a very severe problem with it. He endangered my family and pets lives with either stupidity or greed. He will use your lack of knowledge about hvac systems against you in order to get your money. That is what it is all about. Getting your money, at just about any cost. I recommend no one doing business with him, ever.
