Founded in 1927, the Rodeo-Hercules Fire District provides a range of fire safety and prevention programs to the general public. It offers response services in cases related to medical emergencies, fire, hazardous material incidents, accidents and rescue. The district operates more than two fire stations and serves over 30,000 residents throughout Contra Costa County, Calif. It additionally provides education, training and community emergency response team programs. The district offers information on blood pressure screening, smoke detectors, and fire alarms and extinguishers. It also provides fire inspection and investigation services for residential and commercial properties. The district s staff includes assistant chiefs, captains, engineers, firefighter and paramedics. The Rodeo-Hercules Fire District maintains one of its fire stations in Hercules, Calif.
