For over 90 years, the 'Lumber Yard' has been helping construct quality homes and estates in this area. On December 5th, 1914, a corporation was formed called Hendricks Farmers Lumber Company. The general nature of the business was to conduct and carry on business of a general retail lumber yard, to buy and sell at wholesale or retail lumber and all products thereof. The starting capital was $20, 000 divided into 400 shares of $50 each. The opening stock of lumber was four cars of lumber bought from the Bradford Kentucky Lumber Co Hendricks is reknowned for the quality craftsmanship of its homes and estates. But none of this would be possible without the possible sourcing of the finest wood and other construction materials. For over 90 years, Hendricks Farmers Lumber Company has sourced the finest materials while making them affordable to our residents. Without the Lumber Yard, the fine Victorian homes and picturesque estates in the area would not be possible.
