Based in Henderson, Nev., Downtown Recreation Center, offers multifitness rooms, game rooms and a gymnasium to neighborhood residents of all age groups. It is one of the seven recreation centers operated by the Parks and Recreation department of the City of Henderson and features various amenities, including an indoor walking track, indoor cycling area, seasonal swimming pool, racquetball court, steam and sauna rooms, showers, among others. Besides pool, table tennis and other activities, its game room features non-violent sports video games on televisions and seasonal sports video tournaments. Additionally, Downtown Recreation Center hosts a number of planned activities for children and teens and offers homework assistance.
