I wish I did not have to give any star rating. AAMCO deserves no star. Stay far away from AAMCO especially the one in Henderson, NV they are all about the money, they are really crooks who say they get parts from dealerships and when you ask the dealership about the part AAMCO purchased they have no record of any clutch part bought by AAMCO. My sister took her car to Carmax and Carmax towed to AAMCO, AAMCO said needed clutch then the engine was torn apart and the transmission. They had car for 6 weeks, when she went to finally pick it up it cost her $900 plus what AAMCO charged her warranty company. Now it is month and half later she notices the trany is leaking and the cruise control is not working she takes it back to Carmax and they tell her the transmission is leaking because the gasket on the trany is leaking and the cruise control is not working because of something in the clutch or trany so they take it back to AAMCO and AAMCO has no idea why the gasket is leaking and tell her the clutch they bought from Ford so it is a good clutch but they keep again for a week, when she gets in to leave the clutch feels wierd she takes it over to Ford to have them feel it and they say the clutch feels like it was never replaced they are going to check it tomorrow. Now if they find out the clutch was never replaced AAMCO lied because they said they bought the clutch from Ford dealer and again Ford dealer has no record of AAMCO buying a clutch. Stay far away from AAMCO. This will lead to lawyers and attorney generals in this state.

I took my 2005 Ford Explorer in to Aamco because it was slipping. I didn't have an apt but Steve the Mgr. got right to it gave gave me an estimate with in 2 hrs. As with any repair I'm never happy about the news, but Steve explained everything in detail and let me know about when to expect to be done. It was done on time and for exactly what Steve quoted.

I would recomend Aamco of San rafael to any of my friends or family...
