Established in 1934, Hayward Adult School is an adult education center located in Hayward, Calif. The adult school offers a range of academic, technical and vocational courses to more than 18,000 students. It offers a variety of vocational programs, such as accounting, automotive, pharmacy, transcription, computers and apprenticeship courses. It provides various extracurricular activities, including music, dancing, cooking, and arts and crafts. It conducts ballroom, belly and salsa dancing classes. The learning center also specializes in a range of special programs that includes yoga, walking, hiking, driving, memoir writing, quilting, knitting and tailoring. It provides child care and career counseling services. Hayward Adult School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
