good place that needs a remodel

Clean and friendly, think good middle America food. It's fun to watch the open kitchen. As someone said here it's not what it used to be but who is??? But they truly need a remodel, new booths, new art. I bet it's the same ones as in the 70's.

Nevertheless when you want "comfort food" head here.

not the same

well i grew up eating at that hayward location back in the 70's.....beleave me it's no where near as good. you use to get a hamburger bun and a pickle. the hamb bun was good to soak up the brown sauce. the quality has gone way below what it was back then. i dont know what they did but the flavor is weak. the price is high, which i would not bat an eye if it were the same quality it use to be. very dissatisfied. gave it another chance on oct 3rd 2009. if anyone knows of an original owned emil villas i would give them a try.
