Italian Trash

There is a reason it is called Ivana. They will take your money then leave u with the worst experience in hair care. Save your money and do not go to these gold-diggers, I assure u....u can get a better hair cut from an Hobo on crack with a pair of dull scissors.

I have been going to Donna for years, LOVE the color and cut I got the other day! Would recommend this salon to everyone such a friendly salon with lots of parking. Also got my eyebrows waxed, never thought they would look so good!

Tracy did an amazing job on my hair extensions went from medium to just a bit longer. Looks so natural and easy to take care of. 100% human hair and I can style them as I wish. Also the salon offers numerous services call for an appointment! Don't miss out on this salon!!!

dont know, but these other vi...

I dont know, but these other viewers must either be under the influence of alcohol, or jacked up on prescriptions to write such stellar reviews. Seriously. I was looking to try a new salon, just to see if there was some 'bomb' stylist out there..someone really fantastic. My mistake...the grass isnt always greener on the other side!!!

Enter all of these reviews that 'highly recommned' Maria Spillorto. Ha, what a joke. I dont mean that lightly either. Not only did she do a botched haircut, but if she was trying to gain a new client, EVERYTHING she said pushed me away. Unprofessional..read on and you will see why. Maybe all the reviews were done by little old ladies, because that was the extent of the clientele I saw at Ivana Di Piero Salon.

I get there, and a stylist with 2 cross bandaids on her face greets me. She promptly introduced Maria to me with no wait. Fantastic. The salon itself was looked clean, smelled great, and had a cool little waiting area. I get in the chair and show her a picture of what I want done- basically and all over color, and a chunk of highlite in the front...similar to Doria on Jerseylicious. She assesss my hair and recommends due to "all the colors running through my hair" (I had just 2, a light brown and dark brown from a tinted box mix I did at home), that we do one color. Im not feeling it, I wanted some color. She we talk and she agrees to do partial hilights, and trim me up. I mentioned I wanted side swept bangs, on the longer side. Ok, great.

She goes to mix the color. She comes back, and abruptly asks me "how old are you"? I was taken aback, as this is a woman Ive just met. Now, unless I look 18, or 21, thats a question you just dont ask someone you have just met (Im 30). Rude. I answered her though, but that was strike one. She starts the foils, and keeps telling me how damaged my hair is, and what is going on with my hair, bla bla. Ok lady, I get the point. I did my own hair, screwed it up a little, just shut your pie hole and do what Im paying you to do. Are you trying to gain a client or have so many you dont give a hoot? I doubt it. Strike 2.

IWe get to the rinsing, and the color came out, meh. But I wasnt expecting miracles; I knew that this was a new stylist who obviously didnt have an extensive history on what Ive done with my hair, just what I told her. Im getting rinsed, and Maria is standing there. It was a bit hard to hear, and she goes "You have really Bad hair". Pardon me? She repeated herself. I think even the shampoo girl was taken aback this woman had just told me I had "BAD" hair. It wasnt bad, the color wasnt 'bad' it wasnt falling out, maybe you just need to go back to beauty school. It was the way she said it to, very snooty-Ive got 17 years experience-. Such etiquette. Strike 3.

Were in the chair, and shes cutting away at my hair. Her trim, on a scale of 1-10 was a 4. I wanted long side swept bangs, and just 1/2 inch off overall. She chopped 2 inches! Even people at my work are like you got it cut short. But, she kept going on how my hair was so damaged, and she had to cut off what she did. I even tried to like this woman- I really did- after she finished, I asked her next time, (since my hair would be in somewhat better conditon!) could we get it closer to the picture...she just kept yacking that she would do a toner next time. Do I need to keep going?

In short, this woman was A) Definately not up on the latest trends B) Rude and unprofessional, even started to question me on my job after I asked about prices, as if my check was going to bounce lol! and C) kept trying to talk me out of what I wanted done to my hair, which was SIMPLE!!! She seemed to want to argue, I dont know if it was the Italian in her or what. Ick. I will never go back to her. The only polite one was the other stylist (Donna) and the assistant.

Love my Stylist

I have been going to Lia for about 2 years now. She young hip and always has many great ideas. The salon has a great atmosphere and resonalble prices. though the owners sister is a bit snotty, most of the other girls are very nice. Ive brought my niece there and she wont let anyone else touch her hair anymore, Lia very good with the young ones. I love my stylist!!!!

ehh....

i requested a trim and walked out with a completely different hair style...i was REALLY upset and even started to cry on my way home...BUT, i did get used to it after a couple days - not sure if it was the cut that grew on me or just the fact that i HAD to accept the hair cut :( ...i would pass, it's pretty pricey and the woman that cut my hair wasn't very friendly...

this is the worst hair salon ive ever been to! do not trust them with your hair!!! i went here and specifically told them i wanted to keep my hair long as it was and just a small trim with some long layers. my hair was 1/2 way down my back. by the time it was finished the front of my hair was to my shoulders!!! about 2-3 inches were cut off!!!! i do not call that a trim. on top of it all the stylist was rude and didnt say 1 word to me the whole time. im reporting this, i left the shop in tears and cried for about an hour
