Worse experience ever!! Male doctor called us back based on my daughters blood test, said that we needed to come in right away. Scared and nervous about the test results we got a baby sitter and raced over. When we got there, after waiting in the waiting room for an hour, he gave us the third degree about who ordered the blood test. In his initial exam of my daughter he did not order it. It was ordered by one of his colleagues a few days after the meds were not making my daughter feel any better. The write up from the colleague was hidden in the file. Turned out the blood test was fine, Dr. was a jerk!! Will never go back. We even wrote letters to the office and the owner and never got a response of any kind. (And yes, the male dr. does stink of cigarette smoke and fails to wash his hands when he enters the room)

No stitches for you!

Child needed stitches. Waited nearly two hours in waiting room, which doesn't really upset me but does make me wonder why a bleeding face injury doesn't take more priority. Once we were taken back, we were greeted by a physician that did not wash his hands or put on gloves, and the proceeded to touch my child's face and the edge of his wound. It's been possible he could have been exposed to my child's blood. The physician stated it really wouldn't matter if he did the stitches or not because it would scar either way. Completely ignorant thing for a physician to say because stitches can minimize scarring. Then, he started talking to my child and we all became uncomfortable. He told my child it was going to hurt really bad and that it wouldn't be quick. My child is 4. He said this several times along with some other inappropriate commentary. His mannerism suggested he completely lacked confidence in this particular procedure. It really felt like he was trying to scare my child into frenzy so we'd leave. He then proceeded to set up and waved a huge needle around. After about 25 minutes of his charades, he finally admitted he thought we should go somewhere else. When he left the room he did not wash his hands. Our night ended at Akron children's hospital with 4 stitches. This place wasted so much of our time and could've completely traumatized my child. All they had to do was be honest and a little less prideful... And maybe wash their hands!
