Expensive Automatic Belt Dispenser

My son attended this school a few years back. As far as I know, all of the USA Tae Kwon Do centers are owned by the same person.

Parents are talked into the program by instructors who provide a convincing demo and a very slick sales pitch.that would make a used car salesman look tame by comparison. Once they have you hooked in the beginner lessons (6 months) they tell you that your child can't progress at the expected rate until you pay DOUBLE the cost of the introductory 6 months for the next round of lessons. At least, that's how it was when my son attended. After our first 6 months (a gift from a family member) we promptly quit. When we told the instructor we couldn't afford the lessons, he talked about loans and payment plans, or suggested we get a bank loan or use a credit card to cover the costs. We gave him a piece of our minds and walked away.

These so called martial arts "experts" pass students through to the next belt level regardless of whether they're fluent in the forms or not. Their graduation ceremonies quickly reveal that only a few superstars (probably kids who took extra private lessons at additional expense) actually know what they're doing and the rest of the students are clueless...yet they're moving on to the next belt level.

Even my son, who as about 10 years old when he took the lessons, looked at me after the graduation ceremony and said, "That was a total scam. I wish we could get grandma's money back."

Don't use this school unless you want to pay a lot of money to receive belts you don't deserve.
