We have Advanced Disposal at our business. Back in 2015 I called to say we wanted to cancel. We had been with them several years but did price analysis and decided on another company. The lady at the office said that we renewed in 2013. There was no renewal contract signed by the owner in the folder. She told me that on one of our billing statements there is an area that states: This is a reminder that your agreement will renew for an additional 36 MONTHS, unless you decline renewal by certified mail to the address noted in your agreement for receipt before xx/xx/xxxx. HOW CAN A COMPANY OBLIGATE A COMPANY FOR ANOTHER 36 MONTHS????? How can a company have this only printed on a statement - so easy to not even see this - these statements/invoices get put in to our computer system and do not even get seen by the owner. I think this is a sneaky tactic by Advanced Disposal.
How can this be legal? PLEASE BEWARE BEFORE YOU SIGN A CONTRACT WITH ADVANCED DISPOSAL.

I have been trying to get out of my contact with this company since my contact came up from day one,they change one thing they say automatic 3 more years from that date then they raised my bill $2 every month till u are forced to sign again ,so I sent a letter this time to end there service like they but I didn't send it certified so that was a automatic 3 more years,because went over the anniversary date they will lower it by $100 if I sign again, but still have 10 months left ,why am I even having issues yet really , the pickup guys are great, the office are terrible ask to talk to the owner or someone higher up there boss,accidently get disconnected,dont call back,get they want me to pay 1/2 my time's remaining months,an they have the right to a certain % on your bill everyone around me pay's less than $100. a month and I'm up to $264. , $2-2.50 they add on a month $12. this month,they don't care,if they treat there customers like this I feel for the employees on the truck's

Terrible customer service. Kept having to call to get trash collected because they kept forgetting me. Checked on another collection service in the Hartland area and discovered I could get my trashed picked up for almost half the price of Advanced Disposal. Called to inform Advance that I would not be needing their services when my term expired and they immediately canceled me. Called to remind them that I needed them to pick up my trash until my term with them expired. They apologized and agreed to extend my service for one more pick up to make up for canceling me prematurely and missing me for one week. I put my trash out and they never showed up to pick up my trash as they had agreed to do! Did not call them back as I am tired of calling these guys to do their job. New service starts next week. Glad to be rid of this once dependable company.
