I have curly hair and after reading the below review went to Sanzi to fix a botched haircut. While the rest of the staff seemed very nice, the stylist was sort of condescending. I explained the problem and that I was using a bunch of product to slick back my messed up hair into a ponytail, but he lectured me about this throughout my haircut. Then, although I told him that I wear my hair curly, he straightened my hair, styled it in kind of a dated way, then loudly congratulated himself on a job well done! The next day I tried to wear my hair curly but found that the cut had made it fall strangely (he had taken enough length off that the 1st bad haircut was not a factor). It looked nice straight but I had to straighten it every day until it grew out. I rarely write negative reviews but was irritated that I spent money to be made uncomfortable and not really get what I asked for. They did, however, get me in quickly and I certainly looked better when I came out of there so 3 stars!

I love Sanzi Hair Design. I have long, naturally curly hair and for almost my entire life, I feared having anyone cut it because few people truly understand how to cut and style curls. I was recommended to Raymond by a work colleague and he did such a beautiful job that I would never consider going anywhere else. Almost 2 years ago I had to move out of state to NJ for a new job, but I still make the trip back to PA just to see Raymond at Sanzi. Nowhere in NJ can you get that type of quality haircut without paying at least double...probably more like triple! Every weekend that I am there, I enjoy watching the other stylists get brides and their bridesmaids ready for weddings...and one style is more beautiful than the next. I wish I'd have known about Sanzi when I got married! I highly recommend it to everyone.

Sanzi's is a professional salon, with a nice staff. For the services rendered, I personally found the prices to be high. I don't mind paying whatever amount, as long as I'm satisfied with the results. That was not my personal experience. It all depends upon the stylist.
