I worked with Southern Car Connection to potentially sell two of my vehicles at auction. The following is a summary of events.
1) Was told that cars would sell at auction and I would certainly get more than CarMax offered. My cars were at auction and did NOT sell at all.
2) License plate was taken off of one car and "lost". I had to go to DMV and report the plate as stolen.
3) Manuals were taken out of both cars. John said he would drop in my mailbox, which he never did, even after numerous text messages and phone calls. I had to drive to dealership and pick them up.
4) Since neither of my cars sold at auction, I asked John to deliver both cars to my house. He agreed, but didn't deliver. I picked one car up at Southern Car Connection and had to drive to Statesville, NC to pick up the other.
5) My truck reeked of smoke when I picked it up. I am not a smoker, so someone smoked in truck after I gave it to Southern Car Connection.

I ended up selling one car to CarMax wherein I lost $2K because of the time I wasted with Southern Car Connection. I spent an inordinate amount of time running around because of their failures to live up to their commitments. I would not use this company for any purpose whatsoever.

Was interested in a vehicle so I called to schedule a test drive. talked to John and he asked when? I offered to come out that day at 1pm. John said he was too busy, and that was it (no let me check my calendar or anything to schedule) he was just to busy. And for the record you had ONE white BMW 3 series.

He asked me what car was I looking at and I said the white 328 BMW. He condescending stated well I have a lot of BMWs and I don't have any info on it..... That was it. No let me get your phone number and call you back or can you hold while I look it up.

Pretty much it didn't seem like he cared to sell a vehicle or not and I will not look to do any business with someone like this.

I ended up getting a 328xi with less miles and $1000 less from another dealer 2 days later.

If only I could give them ZERO STARS

I've been dealing with Pete for years and would not go anywhere else to get work done. He's very fair and communication is awesome. My son who is now 19 also takes his car to Pete as well

We are Harrisburg residents and we got several recommendations for Pete when our car broke down. We got a great deal on towing. Pete kept me informed on everything and got the job done quickly without taking a big hit to my pocket. Now I will be recommending him.

We've been coming here for years as we keep our aging cars. Pete is great. Tell him Rocco Sent you. he'll look after you even if you don't lol. you just won't find a better shop

My wife destroyed the motor in my Ford Explorer by driving on the interstate in a lower gear than drive. The quote from the Ford dealership started at $5k. Southern Car Connection was able to find a used motor and replace it for less than $2k in parts and labor. More than 3 years later, my truck is running great and I had no problems afterwards. They did great work and saved me a ton of expense. I am so glad that someone referred me to them.

very honest and dependable. i highly recommend them. i have never purchased their cars but i trust them to work on my own car, including car washes and state inspections. very reliable 24 hours towing as well.
