I have rented two different properties through this property management company. Combined, I have rented through them for over seven years. I only have excellent experiences to report about. The employees and the owner were and are always a joy to speak with. Whenever there was an issue with the residence, they would their best to do all that they could do to resolve the issue in the fastest way possible.

The bad reviews about this company are appalling. In my own humble opinion, I feel as though the bad reviewers are a bit ignorant as to how a property management business works. They obviously do not know or care to know how things work in the realty business. For some reason, they are holding the realty business responsible for the owner's choice to not pay someone to resolve the issue.

This company most definitely cares very much about their customers. That alone will speak greatly about their character.

Here is how it works:
1) The customer makes a request to the property management company.
2) The property management company sends the request and cost of the process to the owner.
3) The owner can choose to pay to have it fixed or simply choose not to.

In this case, the owner chose not to pay to fix the issue. The property management company had absolutely no power over what the owner of the residence does.

I am in no way an expert in how property management works; however, a few minutes of research will give you a general idea of how all this works.

Stratus does not care about their tenants. I have been calling and calling over 8 months to have some maint done and all they can say is the owner is not reponding. Stratus will never call you back, you have to keep calling them. Here it is 9 months later and they finally had to override the owners say since they won't respond and I've been waiting on the maint guy for over 2 hours. Very unreliable. Save yourself the headache and choose someone else.

I have been a renter with stratus for almost four years. If there were a no star rating, they would get it. The customer service is poor and most of the staff are not only less than helpful, they are extremely unreliable. After multiple calls regarding numerous issues, there was no resolution....but always with the promise to resolve. I never missed a single rent payment, yet when issues were addressed, they were left unaddressed. This is by far, the most unprofessional, unreliable, and at times, uncooperative group of people. Do yourself a favor and choose another company to deal.
