Our family was a part of Dr. Madura's practice for more than five years. While he's not warm, he was direct and no nonsense & we appreciated that. Early in 2014 we began to have some concerns about his demeanor & some of his choices. However they were more about his prerogative than healthcare, so we disregarded them. Recently those concerns became more serious when the health of an elderly relative who came to live with us was on the line. Madura repeatedly failed to fill prescriptions in time, leaving a diabetic without his medicine & requiring me to have him paged on more than one occasion. Most recently I brought this relative to him & told him I feared he was suffering from a re-occurrence of previously diagnosed Congestive Heart Failure. He ignored my concerns, ignored me in the exam room when I added information my relative was leaving out (due to confusion) & finally made rude comments to my relative as to his need to bother speaking with me there. He misdiagnosed him, prescribed medicine that made his condition worse and yet again failed to refill medicines needed. After more than two weeks of improper care, he finally told me "it could be congestive heart failure". This was confirmed by a Cardiologist who rushed my relative into his office & made it clear Madura's treatment had made my relative worse & that he was very surprised at Madura's failing to have prescribed diuretics several month prior, which would have likely prevented how ill he became. Not very typical for doctors to question each other so openly, but everyone involved in this case has done so. Madura put his ego in front of my relative's health. Even our pharmacist wanted to know who was in charge of this disaster.I would absolutely advise against seeing this doctor, there are too many other options & he's simply not worth the risk.

Dr. Madura is a caring professional. He takes the time that is necessary with each patient and puts you at ease. He is down to earth and knows his "stuff". What a great doctor and a great man. I have been his patient since he came to Hampton and am so glad that he is back. He has seen me through trials and tribulations, but is NEVER judgmental.

Dr. Madura is a top notch Doctor and a rare find! I am a nurse and have been a patient of his for 5 years and my sister for 20 years. he has never lead us done the worng alley andf knows how to avoid unecessary medical procedures while bring forth the best results. I without a doubt recommend him with all my heart!

My familly and i have been patients of dr. madura since he first came into practice We have the utmost respect for him as a doctor and a member of the community He is the most caring and throughly doctor i have ever encountered he goes the extra mile and he treats each patients with dignity and respect he never ever rushes through an exam answer all your question He basically treats his patients like they are familly. He is a very dedicated doctor I have seen him open his office on a sunday and he will get back to you day or night in case of emergency. His staff is amazing as well his receptionist Ellie is always pleasant, caring and always on top of everything. His nurses Doren and Debbie are great they are caring and compassionate Doren has been with Dr. madura from the beginning she is truly a great asset to the practice.

We were among some of the first patients in 1983, cried when he left the practice (time to try new things), and couldn't be happier to have him back!. Although I am sure that he can do anything well, our family depends on him to use common sense and compassion along with appropriate current therapies and testing to give us answers that actually mean something to us. The sense of humor doesn't hurt, and his caring is obvious as soon as you talk with him. He is engaged and concerned, genuinely warm, and never makes you feel like you just ruined his day if you end up at the hospital for something, even when you know you probably did. My son was born into the practice, and best advice I ever received was to use our family doctor as our pediatrician. Twentyeight years later, he still sees Dr. Madura. The office is staffed with caring, concerned help, and they really know who you are when you call. LOVE THAT!! This practice is always where we go first when a need or concern arises.

There is no better doc in Hunterdon County. Intuitive, caring, thorough. Super guy, too.

Office staff very friendly and competent. Dr. Madura cares about you as a person, and is an excellent doctor. He takes his time, and will refer you to someone else if he cannot help you (specialist). He returns his own phone calls.

Over the years, Dr. Madura has shown to be an extremely competent and caring physician. He is very accessible by phone, (he returns calls), does excellent follow-up, and demonstrates an attitude of really looking out for the patient's best interest.

We have seen Dr. Madura for 10+ years. I trust the care of my entire family to him. He is a genuine doctor. He focuses on people not the bottom line. I highly recommend him. He is the doctor you are looking for.
