Dr. Thomas Wade joined Chen Medical Associates in December, 2012.  Prior to ChenMed he practiced for 13 years in Indianapolis, Indiana and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  He earned his Bachelor of Music degree from DePauw University and his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.  He completed his internship in internal medicine at The Evanston Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital/Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago.

Dr. Wade is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Wade is a member of the American Academy on Communication in Healthcare, the American College of Physicians and the American College of Physician Executives. He has collaborated as a Principal Investigator in more than 40 clinical research trials including arthritis, COPD, diabetes, hypertension and pneumonia.  He is actively involved with Electronic Medical Record development.

When away from the office, Dr. Wade enjoys tennis, swimming, biking, volunteer work, hiking and the theatre.  He continues to play piano and sing when time permits.  He is a member of The Nature Conservancy and the National Trust for Historic Preservations.

Dr. Wade is committed to providing a welcoming, patient-centered environment where he and his patients can develop a strong relationship and achieve even the most ambitious health goals.
