These people are impossible to deal with. When my bill was read last they screwed up the reading. My gas was shut off and trying to make them understand their mistake is impossible. Oh well it was paid and I passed them off by turning it back on myself. Their cheap little round locks are spring loaded and can be taken off by bending a small hook on the end of a plain brown hair clip

I have a FICO score of over 800, and use on-line Bill Pay. There is no electronic bank connections with this service utility. So it takes at least 5 Business days for them to receive payment. If there is an issue with the mail, the customer is the last to know and will receive a cut-off notice and late fee which can't be negotiated with the Guntersville or Albertville locations. The utility company blames the customer and the bank blames the utility company. It's 2016 and Marshall County Gas needs to get electronically connected to the banks in this area. Makes you wonder where they keep their holdings. Now I feel better

If your bill is $20 or less and you miss the payment by a day they don't care, if its $100 or more miss it by one day and they will cut your service off with in 3 days and charge a big reconnect fee.

I also had a problem i called in a paid my bill, lady said be right back with confirmation number, 30mins later she had never came back i got cut off, next day i was charged a late fee. Her reason fro not coming back was she went to lunch!

This company definitely needs to provide an online bill paying system. I end up paying 10% extra every month because I forget to mail the payment in on time and end up calling the office to pay. I don't like giving somebody my credit card number over the phone.

Office personell are not helpful. My bill has a clear mistake in the units used but they refuse to understand or do anything about it. It makes me sad for all the people they take money from that is not due.

Get online bill pay, this is the only bill I have that I can't make online, It's really irritating!!!!!

Hello! get on line access to pay bill and review statements. It is really sad that ARAB alabama has this capibility but not Guntersville. That is embarrassing Leigh Dollar ! help get a slight convience for the woking moms out there that have full time jobs and three kids to chase from school , to diner, to bath . to bed and stating again at 5 am again. You think the ELectricity, Gas, and Water could (at the very least) offer the option of on line bill pay>???

I transfered the billing on my rental house in Blount County on the water and power with no problems. I called Marshall County Gas District and the problems started. They only wanted to do business in person. I live 150 miles from their office. I finally talked to a women who was supposed to be in charge of the office and was able to fax a copy of my drivers license to her and swap the gas back over to me. I own the house and still had to put up a deposit. and pay a reconnect fee. These people need to come to the real world. They are fifty years behind in the times.

Office workers think they OWN you AND they WILL do what ever they want!. Try and talk to someone in charge, OTHER THAN THESE TWO IN THE OFFICE. I payed my bill and by mistake, wrote my moms account no. on the check, instead of mine, when i called they said they declined to switch the money over to MY acc.!!!.

soooo I HAD TO WRITE THEM ANOTHER CHECK FOR $260.00 and some odd dollars, So that gas bill C O S T ME over $500.00 Dollars!!!!!!!!

They D O N T care about you in the least, and they just look for a reason to cut your gas off ! , its like T H E Y have the Gas AND the power to cut you off and you`ll do as T H E Y

SAY! . THEY`LL OVERCHARGE YOU, and you`ll have to call these women again, and try to get another reading, and they`ll all but just come out and call YOU a lier.

Oh, and about the MONEY mentioned above 4 or 5 months later S T I L L hasent been swapped back to my acc.
