Previously, my relationship with my last advisor consisted of receiving statements in the mail. I did not hear from him. My finances involve some trusts that I don't understand well and I have felt concerned about my legacy to my family & extended family in the financial downturn. When the market went way down, I called my advisor and shared my concerns. He simply told me to "sit tight", everyone was going down. I switched. A year and a half later, I have worked with Robert Smith, CFP for about 9 months. I have never had to call him because he contacts me. He explains changes he wants to make. He will come to me or I can meet with him in his office. He truly recognizes that he is doing important work for families. I feel like I have a wise advisor who respects my intelligence and collaborates with me.And my investments are doing better than any others that I am aware of. I can sleep well at night!
