The Viking Appliance Corporation has failed to honor a safety recall on our 2 year old dishwasher. We had been told on September 11, 2013 that the error code displayed on the appliance shows the heating element has failed and after looking up the parts the technician explained to us that the heating assembly and wiring harness are covered under a safety recall. I had been working with a repair company trying to get this resolved, they had assured me they had been in contact with their Viking sales rep, and not to worry the parts are covered under warranty and were being shipped. Here we are a month later and today I’m told Viking has determined your dishwasher is not covered and they would not honor the recall. The repair company had also explained they did not understand this because they are holding a document that clearly shows it is covered and thought Viking should honor the recall. Vikings reply is that the appliance is not covered. If this is the case it has taken Viking a month to make this determination. I had spoken with Vikings customer service several times and each time had been told someone would be returning my call within 48 hours. This never happened. I feel Viking is an awful company and does not care about the consumer. We have a full suite of Viking appliances. (Refrigerator, 6 burner 48 inch Dual fuel oven, Hood. dishwasher and microwave) all 2 years old. The oven has been repaired twice, the hood has been repaired once, and this is the second time we have had to have the dishwasher repaired. We are sorry we had ever purchased any Viking product. I now feel the professional kitchen we had tried so hard to build is full of nothing more than overpriced junk and will be sure to tell everyone about our experiences with Viking. At this point we have authorized the repair company to order parts and repair the dishwasher at our expense, We have been without a dishwasher for over and a month and are tired of getting the runaround from Viking

I bought an entire kitchen, not one single appliance was working correctly. I have had repair men out continuously and they have all said it should be replaced. They are the worst in customer service, their products absolutely suck and they hide behind customer service people that NEVER resolve a damn thing.

Can't find Service

I live in South Mississippi and bought a Viking Duel Fuel range when we rebuilt after hurricane Katrina. Something has been broken on it since they delivered it. To get a service man out and then to receive parts takes forever. My oven and griddle are not working at this time and it has been three months. The Range was shipped with the wrong nozzle even though it was ordered correctly (For Propane) per Viking's on delivery invoice. The nozzles were liquid gas nozzles. If I don't get it repaired soon, my husband is going to deliver it to Greenwood, Viking's front yard. The reason we bought it was to support Mississippi businesses and US made products. Liz
