Viking Range Corporation is a privately held company that manufactures and markets professional kitchen appliances for the home. Viking is the originator of the 'Professional' segment of major appliances in the United States, introducing the first commercial type range for home use in 1987. The company now offers two distinct, complete lines of ultra-premium appliances, including cooking, ventilation, kitchen clean-up and refrigeration, as well as outdoor products for the pool or patio. Viking has three factories and its corporate headquarters in Greenwood, Miss. Its major appliances are sold through a network of domestic and international major appliance distributors, who in turn sell to high-end dealers, kitchen specialists and builders. Its culinary products are sold through upscale gourmet shops as well as Viking Culinary Arts Centers. In addition to the U.S., Viking products are sold in more than 80 countries.
