Southwest Elementary School provides a range of classes in math, science, language arts and computers. It serves students in kindergarten through grade five. The school also administers the Response to Intervention (RTI) program, which assesses, monitors and provides educational and assistance services for students in reading and math. Southwest Elementary School enrolls more than 400 students annually. In addition, the school administers the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). It organizes field trips to science centers and historic locations. Southwest Elementary School is located in Greenwood, Ind. The school is a part of the Greenwood Community School Corporation, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
