Are these employee reviews?

The one thing this place has going for it is they have Christian music playing when you walk in....Which, being in the bible belt is going to appeal to many people.

Nothing was explained to me, but I had done research online, so I had an idea.

You basically walk up to a counter like everywhere else.

Yes, there is cool stuff you can buy....

Pricing is middle of the road, had a better quote from another place.

When I walked in I was pretty surprised from the get go. usually these places are kind of creepy, along with the employees. I heard of Upstate Gold Exchange from Bobby Mac on the radio, and also heard others on the WORD station suggest them. These are pretty smart men... so why not give it a shot. I was blown away by the small, quaint and very professional operation they have going on in there. Michael, the store manager assisted me in my trade of Silver. He used chemicals and a rubbing rock to determine the value and content of my metals. Explained what he was using and why, explained market values, and how to appraise the metals worth. They gave me a great value for a chain necklace that had been sitting in a coffee cup in a desk at my folks house for years... Knowing that I would never wear it I took it up here. Now, the staff was very helpful and the exchange rate was awesome... but what really blew me away was the amount of historic pieces that they have on display for trade or purchase!!!!!!!!! Being a history buff... I walked out of there with a $50 Confederate Note printed in 1864!!!! Great condition. Michael pulled out a book that showed you the value of the old money, who was on the note, and how to tell if the notes are fake or genuine. I learned a lot in the 20 minute conversation that I had. Great business!!!! No wonder why you guys are so highly recommended!!! I will return for sure to pick up some more Confederate memorabilia in the future!

They were friendly and very professional. Tested, weighed and examined my gold right there in front of me and explained the process thoroughly. I did my homework before deciding to sell my gold and was glad to hear they informed me of everything I already knew...so THEY ARE HONEST! I walked out of there with $617.00!!! I couldn't be happier! Thank you Upstate Gold Exchange!
