Westmoreland County Parks and Recreation oversees nine parks that provide a wide range of recreation programs. The parks facility includes walking and hiking trails, picnic and play areas, fishing areas, sport facilities, as well as plenty of open fields, forests, lakes and streams. It offers summer environmental programs that include a variety of day camps for children and single day programs for the family, such as treasure hunt, family overnight camp, night walk and mysteries of science. The parks also offer various events that include senior games, concert series, environmental programs, labor united celebration, poker run, fest, and arts and heritage festival.
