Good food, friendly people, reasonably priced drinks. What's not to like?

My wife and I have been anticipating the opening of La Paz, we typically done ate 111, and absolutely love the food and atmosphere there. Well we finally made it in and sat at the bar while awaiting a table. There were two bartenders working, and the female bartender was awesome, she made us feel so welcome and went through the menu and made some suggestions for us, the drinks were excellent, but the male bartender, not so much. His attitude was extremely poor and made my wife feel ackward. The female bartender was so busy making drinks but she still maintained a smile on her face and waited on several others while even making the other waitresses drinks. We really enjoyed her, but again, the guy behind the bar I think his name was Jim or Joe is in the wrong business. After a short while we were seated at our table and the waiter took about 15 minutes to wait on us just for more drinks. That set the tone for the rest of the night though. Poor service with the waiter but food was delicious. We will be back to see the female bartender and sit at the bar next time.
