I'm still upset since December 28. I'm in retail myself and I would never treat customers this way. The Westmoreland Manager Brian and asst Manager Cali were VERY RUDE with responses towards me. I hope someday when you are out shopping you get treated the same way. Customer service SUCKS

I took my engagement ring to Kay's just to be resized. After hearing different stories all badabout some jewelers messing with the rings, I took newer before pictures of mine. My fianc and I had engagement photos done the day after he proposed, so I had proof with those if anything happened as well. My engagement ring is a sterling silver blue and white diamonds...now the blue is not your normal color blue its more of a teal green blue color. After waiting and not receiving an email like promised I called Kay's and asked if the ring was there they told me yes. When my fianc and I went to pick it up I noticed my ring was a total different color blue. The silver diamond settings around my what were to be teal blue diamonds were a cobalt or royal blue as well as my stones. I told the woman that my ring was not the same after pulling out my cellphone to show her the pictures she argued with me. Now I would have kept it up if my fianc and I didn't have my fiancs little brother with us. When we left Kay's I had to use the restroom, she. I washed my hands I noticed the blue coloring on the settings around my blue diamonds washed off revealing my silver plating again...I took my ring off and examined it closely. I noticed what looked like strands of string like what's left from a felt tip marker sticker on the face of my ring in between the stones and settings. Now i knew they did something to my ring so i took pictures, and waited till we went home to compare it to the wedding band that came with it. I got my band out and held it under my engagement ring and sure enough the bands stones were teal blue and my engagement rings were cobalt blue. Pissed i took more pictures and cleaned my ring with a soft old toothbrush to get the coloring off. The next day I called Kays and spoke to the manager Telling him how my stones and the silver settings were painted blue and how it didn't match the color of the band it came with and that it washed off and I cleaned most of it off. He told me," When you gave us your ring we noticed that the store you received if from, didn't put rhodium on the diamonds to enhance it. Or from you wearing it so much it tarnished off." When he said this I slammed him stating that the way my ring looked when you recieved it is how it looked when I tried it on, because my fiance' surprised me that day and put it on layaway. Not only that but I have pictures from the day after he proposed from our engagement photos to prove it was never like that or that color blue. Finally the manager ofKay's from Westmoreland Mall said and I quote,"Well we did that to make it look more like one of OUR rings." I said to him," First off its not one of YOUR rings to begin with, second my blue diamonds aren't actually your normal blue they are blue green or teal so your rhodium blue color didn't even match not to mention it was poorly placed." And last I said," When I got the ring back and looked and it why didn't the girl tell me what you did to it?" He didn't say anything else execpt that if I didn't want the rhodium on it I could clean it off etc.. I said yes I want it off because its not the same color as my diamonds. He said nothing else at all to acknowledge their wrong doing. They didn't even mention rhodium when I sent it to be reseized. A coworker of mine took her gold with rose pearls to Kay's to be fixed after one of the pearls fell off...when she received it, the ring had a white pearl in place of what should have been a rose pearl, they wouldn't fix their mistake or anything and this was at the same Kay's I went to. Now I have to take my ring somewhere else to have it cleaned because the clarity of my teal blue diamonds are bad because of the cobalt blue rhodium...Kays should be fixing it not me.
