Highland Rim Speedway is a track rich in history. A group of neighbors joined forces in the early 1960s to build a racetrack. In the spring of 1962, the first cars competed on the high banked quarter mile dirt track. In 1969, the high banked dirt was paved and quickly became fastest high banked asphalt track in the region. Highland Rim is now a high banked “D” shaped asphalt track. The Thunder rolls at the Rim every Saturday night from March to November.
