For over 25 years Dr. Coussons has been a leader in women’s health. After training from 1992 to 1996 at Louisiana State University, he practiced in Idaho and Washington State for 6 years. During this time his clinic was a satellite infertility clinic for the University of Washington, one of the largest IVF programs in the world. He also was involved in medical education at Washington State University and the University of Idaho. He moved to Green Bay in 2002 and continued innovation as an early adopter of robotic surgery in 2004. He was one of the first gynecologists in the US to embrace the advantages of robotic surgery and now accomplishes over 99% of all complex female surgeries with less pain and faster recovery than open surgery. Most patients go home the same day. After delivering over 5000 babies, he stopped performing deliveries to focus on gynecology for complex patients. His practice is 100% devoted to the patient experience and successful outcomes for infertility, pelvic pain and abnormal uterine bleeding. He has been listed as a Center of Excellency in minimally invasive surgery and recently completed the new American Board specialty designation in minimally invasive surgery. Because of his skills, he has been a surgical instructor since 2007 and has travelled the US and also internationally while speaking about the best practice of minimally invasive surgery. He is a published author and continues to contribute time to medical education at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has earned the reputation as an expert in this field by offering patients the very best care and by also providing treatment options which help achieve outcomes other providers cannot give.
