This church is about the outward appearance. It is very PHARISAICAL. I visited from Boulder and found that I was not dressed like they were, and that I was looked down upon by the pastor. He talked about Bob Jones University, which I've not hear about before. I googled it and found out that it is a school of people that hate most christians and people of color, like hispanics.

The pastor promoted corporal punishment for children, and was openly political. Many of the people were nice to me and seemed different from the people in charge. Very strange. This is like many churches I've been to, like Windsor Baptist Church. I don't know where to find chistian people who demonstrate love and grace. I'll keep looking!

Rocky Mountain Girl must have visited a different church. Westside Baptist is a very friendly church and visitors are never looked down on. We love our visitors and encourage everyone in our congregation to make them feel at home and welcomed. If you're looking for a good church focused on God's word and good fellowship.
