I was fortunate to have a phenomenal experience from Target Optical located inside the Target store in Granger Indiana.

I stepped into Target Optical on a Sunday. Apparently, this location is owned by LUXOTTICA GROUP P.IVA , a large optical concern. Unlike a lot a large companies that operate in other national retail chains, Luxottica knows how to hire GREAT PEOPLE and run a solid business.

I was greeted by the manager Darla Schlimpert. Darla was a total pro. She offered care and service without being pushy. She gave me space to look but was ready to answer any and all questions I had. Their prices are incredible as is their selection.

I made an appointment to have my eyes examined the next day. My eye doctor was Dr Jeffrey Wade O.D. This was one of the best, if not the best, exams I have ever had -- really!. He was thorough and personable. I expressed concern with some things going on with my eyes and he patiently answered each concern. Again. I did not feel rushed, but welcome to ask whatever question I had.

Of note is that LUXOTTICA does some type of humanitarian trips overseas and even some here in the states. Dr Wade had pictures up of his trips and the fortunate ppl he has helped in those missions. Impressive to see this kind of kindness.

I finished my exam and had to come back later that day to order my glasses. Darla used some high tech device to do all the measurements... compared to other optical stores that use a small ruler to measure. Nice to know the measurements will be accurate.

I look forward to the finished product. I spent less buying two pair of top of the line frames and lenses with all the bells and whistles from Target Optical than I did on my last pair of glasses from a local shop who I think overcharges for a fancy environment.

I appreciate Darla and Dr Wade for making my eyecare experience one the the best I have had in years. I would give them 10 stars if I could, but 5 solid gold stars are it. Go by and see for yourself.
